Picture Update

Ok, it's been a few weeks since I've blogged and part of that is because I was having issues with my computer downloading my pictures.  Then when I logged on today, I found they have changed Everything on me.  So please bare with me. 

Here are a few pictures that belong with my post MY BOYS.

Can you see the smirk on his face?  Yes, my hands are Full with this one!!  And please ignore how hugely fat my legs look here,, just focus on the big belly..AKA Kolton:

Kyler was helping me make his Daddy cupcakes for his 40th birthday!

Since we technically made the cupcakes the night before Daddy turned 40..we added his candles from last year and then put an Elmo cupcake pick in it for 39 plus 1.  Yes, the Chef picked out the Elmo decorations. Thankfully Daddy was accepting of it and thought it was cute (they were left overs from the Chef's 2nd birthday):

We took Daddy to dinner on his actual birthday and went to a local Japanese Steakhouse.  As we were walking in, their billboard was outside showing their specials.  I nearly came close to puking when I read the "Oh My God Roll" ingredients...yes!! the 3rd one does say SPIDER!  To add to it, as we were being seated, someone was actually inquiring about it and they confirmed, yes, its actual
Spider and then they ORDERED IT! I nearly lost my appetite. But quickly refocused on the yumminess of my food and thankfully it was cooked in front of us so I could watch what was being added to my meal:

37 Weeks

Fetal Development:
Average size is around 6.5 pounds now! The baby practices breathing movements
preparing for life outside the womb. His grasp becomes firm, and he will
turn toward light.

Maternal Changes:
Vaginal discharge may be heavier now and will have more cervical mucous in it as your
body prepares for labor. What position is your baby in? Is it head down or butt
first? (He is Head down and ready!) Whichever position your baby is in now is generally the way he will stay. If your baby is breech, you may need a cesarean or your care provider
might recommend an external version in which your abdomen is
manipulated in such a way that it turns head down. This is successful 60 to 70%
of the time. The baby could come at anytime. Is your hospital bag packed yet? (has been for the last month - or so)

My Boys

Chris ~
Yesterday we celebrated Chris' 40th birthday!! Kyler and I took him to Kumo's Japanese Steakhouse for dinner. Kyler really enjoyed the Fire! I'm glad Chris enjoyed his special day.

Kolton ~
Also yesterday I had my 36 week check up appointment. We did the NST (non-stress test) which will be held from here on out. My doctor was on vacation, so I saw another doctor which I am really starting to like. I've seen him on a few occasions during this pregnancy. If my doctor can't be there, I really want this one to deliver Kolton. He said everything looked great, baby is perfect and he seems to be great to hold off for another week (that part I could have done without) HA! So now we're just waiting. My next appointment is with my doctor on the 19th.. I will also be 37 weeks that day and considered full term. Not getting my hopes up until the official marking in the book is done!

Kyler ~
I have been wanting to write down Kyler's sayings before I forget them. They are too stinkin' cute and I know I'm going to leave some out; so for my family reading this and you know some, please let me know so that I can add them.

"bam-baid" = band-aid
Mater is for all tow trucks
Papa Pat's Tractors are for anything construction equipment related
Momma is for Gramma (I am Mommy and / or Momma)
Baby Brudder is baby brother
Tolton is Kolton
"hot-tea" = hockey
anything ending in K (truck, milk, book.. etc) the K is very pronounced
pop-pop = lollipop
wipe = white
brown is always said "brown like Mater"
el-low = yellow (and he says it very pronounced with his tongue sticking out..it's ADORABLE)
stool = school

Week 36

Fetal Development:
With four weeks to go, our baby is almost ready. He could drop into the birth canal (umm he's already been there) at any time now. This week, the fat is dimpling on the elbows and knees as well as forming creases in the neck and wrists (are they calling my baby fat.. hahahaha). The baby's gums are very rigid.


Maternal Changes:
About a month to go you'll probably be visiting your care provider once a week at this point. The average weight gain now is between 25 and 30 pounds. You should be consuming about 2400 calories per day. Make them count! Your body is working hard now and needs quality fuel.

Easter 2012 (part 2)

Easter 2012

As some of you already know, I have officially been placed on bed rest until Mr. Kolton joins our family. We have been pushed back from the 13th until ?? But we're all hoping for the 20th. I have started having contractions ...or "spikes" as the OB Triage nurse called them. But nothing active yet. I'm ready but Kolton is not fully developed yet. So we're hanging in there.

This Saturday, Chris and I took Kyler to our local Kiwanis's Club for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. My SIL Sherry and nephews Zachary and Nicholas along with my Mom and Grandma all met up there.

Kyler was all about the Easter Bunny (just as long as it's not Santa Claus):

I found a bench and while we were waiting on the festivities to begin and the rest of the family to arrive; I held the bench down.

Afterwards; we came home and dyed Easter Eggs.. actually Gramma and Kyler did, Grandma Great and I supervised:

After two egg hunts, we went inside and started to make deviled eggs. Kyler started off helping but decided he just wanted to eat the eggs.. HA:

The group for pre-Easter dinner (we did it Saturday).. I cut Nicholas' head off and Kyler and Chris weren't looking..yes that's 9 people at my table:

Sunday morning we woke up and discovered the Easter Bunny had arrived at our house (the yellow box facing away from us is a huge chocolate bunny); the big red basket was full of CARS stuff: a Lightening McQueen water squirter, Lightening McQueen Frisbee, a race track, Mater sidewalk chalk..etc:

We ate breakfast and got ready for church. After church we picked Kyler up from the daycare center and they ranted and raved over how well he was behaved, he was the only one that didn't cry and they said he even shared his toys with the other kids to try and calm them down. They Thanked us for letting him come in and asked that we bring him back as he was such a joy to them. I also got a high five from one of the teachers for him being in big boy under ware!

When we got home he wanted to have lunch on his new table:

Week 35

Week 35 ~~ ALMOST THERE!!!!!

Fetal Development:
The average sized baby is around five and a half pounds now! The fat accumulations plump up the arms and legs this week. The baby has gotten big enough to take up most of the uterus, and there's less room to move around. The testes have completed their descent in males.


Maternal Changes:
Your care provider may begin regular checks of your cervix some time in the next few weeks for signs of effacement and dilation and to see what position your baby is in. Your baby cannot pass through a normally closed cervix. The process of labor is the stretching, thinning (effacement) and opening (dilation) of your cervix to allow the baby to pass through. Your cervix is fully dilated when the opening measures 10 centimeters.
