Bowling Brothers

I took some pictures of our bowl date. Kyler was feeling a little off the whole night. I'm not sure what was going on or if because the bowling was a new adventure for him. But a little more than halfway through he started coming 'alive' and getting into it.

Kyler picking out his ball..check out his shoes:

The Kiesling Klan.. Kyler was saying "hurry, it's heavy", Nicholas wouldn't smile and Zachary was really into it:

Kyler's first bowl (ever) and a little help from Mommy:

First bowl.. all but 4 pins.. 2nd and he got a spare!  He got several spares during the night too!:

We got this handy crafty thing (not sure what it's called.. maybe.. "Mommy's back saver"?!) to help us both out.  He doesn't look enthused here:

Help from Nicholas.  I think Kyler was upset because they put us on another lane different from Zachary and Nicholas because when they were done with their games and came over to us, he livened up!:

Tolky Bear's first bowl!  Helping big brother out!:

Last bowl.. a Family Affair! See, he's into it now!:

Bouncing on Aunt Sherry's knee and wanting to take off!:

Kyler's first bowl ever... scored a 92 (his name is the top one if you can't make it out)!  So proud of him. We bowled with a brother and sister who also needed bumpers.  They were older than Kyler but were very patient with him / us:

His 2nd game,, scored an 86! Not bad kid!

Kolton cut his first tooth through Saturday. It's barely just above the skin although you can feel it..trust me! But still hard to see especially since he doesn't want to show it off just yet. But it's on the bottom right.  The bottom left is about to bust through too, along with his top two. Poor guy:

You can kind of see where it's raised here on the right:

Then Sunday morning he woke up with Fuzzy Wuzzy! He's finally getting hair.

Testing out his big boy bed for his first real nap in his crib. He really liked it. Right after this picture he went OUT and was snoring up a storm. I'm sure he's very grateful for the leg room:

Yesterday afternoon, the boys were being silly and playing on my bed. Kolton is ALL about his big brother (and visa versa.. LOVE it):

Kyler was tickling Kolton..who while doesn't look thrilled in this picture, laughed the second Kyler's "claws" grabbed at his belly:

This one just warms my heart:

Date Night!

Since I had Kolton, I have not had "one on one time" with Kyler.  Well tonight is the night!  I am taking him to join a kids bowling league...well to see if he will even like it first.  It's 8 weeks and is every Monday night.  I can now do these fun things as I have a 'real' job with 'real' hours!

So if he enjoys it, at the end of his 8 weeks, he will get to chose a bowling ball of his choice!  How exciting.  I promise to take pictures and post!!

Excited for a "Mommy & Me date night" with some one on one bonding with my boy!

It's Here!

Looks like we are in need to head to the store...for...

That's right; Kolton's first toothbrush. Last night (while I was nursing Kolton) he broke his first tooth through!  Very exciting and OUCH at the same time. He now has his first tooth, bottom right.  With bottom left following a close suit. And soon will be his two top teeth as they are not far behind.

I'll try to capture some pictures and post.

New Beginnings...

Today starts new beginnings for me (well, a week today will actually be my "start")...

I'm trading in the...

And the ...
For the...

OK.. who am I really kidding here?  There will Never be a Full Trade In of the Firetruck  ;-D

But I am taking on a new role in life.  I'm sad in a way to leave dispatching as I LOVE what I do (minus the 12-16 hour days, nights, weekends and holidays ~ and death of children). But I love the work regardless.

I am however Very excited to learn a new role and wear many shoes in my upcoming adventure.  In turn I will be home with my boys more and will not have to miss out on birthdays, holidays, weekends or just ever day life.  That will make me a better mom.

The Big 5..

Mr. Kolton..today you are the big 5 months old!  Where is the time going?!

~look at that "red" hair!

Just this morning I had you laying propped against my pillow and you were not having it, you kept pulling yourself up into a seated position..although you would tumble over a few seconds later. But none the less, you were not giving up!
~pulling yourself up:

~holding on for a few seconds...and falling over:

You LOVE to blow raspberries, especially when you first wake up.  Actually that's how I know you're awake since you don't cry (unless you're not feeling well).  It's so cute to hear out of the blue you blowing raspberries.  You have also started saying "Mommmm-a".  At first I thought it was a fluke that you were saying it.. but several other people have heard it and said "wow, that's early". So even if it is a fluke, I'm running with it and taking Mommmm-a as your first word  ;-D  (I'm Mommmm-a, I have the right!)

You LOVE your big brother.  He tries so hard to play with you but doesn't understand you are so small compared to him and he gets rough with you which we're there to monitor him but no matter if we get onto him because we think he's too rough and will hurt you, you're all smiles with him.  I can see the near future when you're mobile and the two of you tearing up the house together.  I see him driving you around in his truck and helping push you down the slide and I see you guys older rough housing... I see Best Friends.

~"Bubba I want your drink"!:

This past month has been a little tough on you.  You started out with getting Thrush due to me nursing you and I was on a Z-pack which gave you Thrush.. very painful for us both might I add.  Then you got an ear infection where the doctor put you on meds and that doubled the Thrush.  Then you developed the croup, pink eye, a stomach virus and got an infection in the other ear. I took you to the emergency room last Friday. Now you have such horrible thrush from all the meds you're having troubles eating.  Daddy took you to the Dr this morning to try and get your something to help.

You're cutting 4 teeth.. two top, two bottom. Looks like the bottom two are ready to start breaking skin shortly!  You have been eating green beans, rice cereal and oatmeal.  You LOVE the green beans.  I am going shopping to get you some carrots next to see how you are with that. You are always taking the spoon from me because I'm not fast enough feeding you.

~chewing on your foot as I'm trying to change you:

The girls at your daycare LOVE you! They always get so excited when I bring you in and fight to see who is going to get you.  They love that you "talk" to them and are always so happy.

~~~
I had recently joined Pinterest.  BIG MISTAKE!!! SO many Good ideas!! Hahaha  We have been playing with several arts / crafts ideas we saw and wanted to recreate.  Then, I saw Mini Peach Cobblers.. oh that sounded so de-lish.  So last night Kyler and I broke out the cupcake tins and got started.
Kyler adding the peaches to our batter:
Then you top with Cinnamon and brown sugar (which we didn't have brown sugar.. so left that off just to see if it would work without):
We let it cool completely then topped with vanilla ice cream.. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM is all I can say. Turned out De-Lish!!
Gone Fishin'
Kolton is loving this eating business.  I love the look on his face on this one.. like he's saying "oohh yeah, bring that this way..and hurry up"!
So much,that if you aren't quick enough, he will take the spoon from you to do it himself!
Friday morning both boys were asleep, so I jumped in the shower to get ready for work.  As I'm drying off I hear giggling and squealing. Of coarse I'm smiling before I even know what I'm about to find. I walk around the corner and found this:
Kyler was digging in my purse and found my headset for work and he wanted to wear it:
Kolton hasn't been feeling well and has had a stomach virus since Wednesday.  Friday afternoon I got a phone call from daycare saying that it appears Kolton has pink eye and I need to come get him. Upon arrival I immediately agreed.. he had it.  Friday night, not only was he vomiting and had the pink eye, but then started breathing funny.  It scared me so off to the ER we went.
I knew it was going to be a long night, so I stopped by McDonalds and got a coffee and an Unsweet Tea.  Here we are waiting in the lobby..for not even 5 minutes. They were awesome!
When we wheeled in the back, not one head didn't turn and gander his way. We had several nurses follow us into the room so they could get some baby snuggle time too.  This seahorse was on the wall in his room and he was fascinated with it:
My Mom and Grandma conjured up a first fishing trip for Kyler.  He's been SO excited and talking about it for weeks.  He would tell everyone that he is going on "the big boat" and fishing.
We went to Ponce de Leon Park and Kyler found a "pirate" he just had to stand by. He wanted Momma in on the picture with him:
I wanted one with him and he's telling me "don't stand there Mommy, be careful, no hurt you":
Kallista wanted to hold Kolton.  He and I had left the ER at 3 that morning and I was dead beat tired. But I couldn't let Kyler down on his fishing trip that he'd be SO excited about.
Grandma Great getting her share in before he and I left.  My Mom said she'd keep Kyler that night for me so that Kolton and I could get some rest.  So I packed his bag and off we went to visit for a little bit before Kolton and I returned home.
Here's a Seminole holding a Gator:
Kyler's first fishing trip.. and by boat even. He was SO excited but when it came time to get on the boat, he wanted to go home! He was NOT having it.  So Momma got on it and I threw him in it and wouldn't you know.. that ended up being one happy boy!
Matthew driving Mom and Kyler on "the big boat". This boat has a lot of meaning as when we were kids not much bigger than Kyler, we would all play on this boat in the back of my Grandparents yard. We would pretend to drive it and catch BIG fish in the grass. They were good times.
Kallista holding Kolton while I loaded Kyler in the boat:
Kolton tired from the night before and it was HOT out.  But being a good Mommy, I had to wait until Kyler returned from his boating trip before I left.  I know that he was in Great hands.. but it's a Mommy thing to make sure your baby boy is back.
My poor big guy:
Gramma and her boys:
Kolton finally fell asleep and was resting well.  He was even sucking on his pointer finger which was too cute.  We'll break that habit but if it helped him sleep after not having much sleep the past few nights, I'll let it slide for now.  I have a better picture of it on my camera that I will download and post:
Kolton last week playing while I was getting ready. He's so wanting to crawl and take off.
