Kyler's 1st Beach Trip

Today we took off to the beach. This was Kyler's 1st beach trip and we weren't sure what he would think of the salt water. So here's a little view of our day.

We first went and bought Daddy a new swim suit (one that would fit). And since they had a nice sale, Mommy got one too. And Mr. Kyler FINALLY let me put a pair of shoes on him without screaming bloody murder and he kept them on throughout the store...so we bought them. When we got the register we cut the tags off and the cashier just thought it was soo cute!

Here's Kyler's new shoes...they're alligators:

Him wearing them throughout the store:

On our way home to change and have lunch before heading to the beach...still sporting his shoes:

He took a nap in the car with them on and even got a diaper changed and swimsuit on with his new shoes on. He really liked them. FINALLY! Whew, I was starting to worry what we were going to do when it came time for water activities where he might wish he had something to protect his feet.

Us arriving at the beach:

Daddy and Kyler:

And into the water he goes:

He was riding some waves and even loved when they splashed him. He didn't even care when the water got in his eyes:

~~sorry there were only two shots of him swimming as we left the camera on the beach (don't fret, we weren't that far from it, but hardly anyone was out there anyways)~~

Our handsome beach boy. He LOVED the beach by the way:

The view we had:

Taking a break for some "salt-free" water:

Digging in what little sand he could that didn't have shells:

He was having a blast:

Look at that smile! He was having a banana / strawberry cereal bar:

Umm not sure if any sand was left behind:

Giving Daddy a kiss thanking him for a Great Day!:

So do you think he had a great day? This was him on the ride home:

A Day with Daddy

Today we were going to head to the beach. However, someone decided to take a 3 hour nap, so that didn't pan out the way we planned. But we'll head there this weekend. Instead after the nap, we headed to our favorite park. We walked around the park and let lil man swing. He Loved it.

Daddy pushing Kyler:

These next few pictures look like something from a magazine or something:

He was having a blast:

I'm only posting this picture because he looks soo cute it in. Totally not a good picture of me:

I'm going to go on a limb and say I don't think he liked the slide so much:

He wasn't sure of the dinosaur either:

Kicking back relaxing by the water (his foot looks fake, but I promise it's not):

The clouds were starting to brew in so we decided to head to the fishing pier at the yacht club and take a walk on the pier before the rain got us. As we were walking to our car we saw some fins circling and thought them to be baby black tips:

He was watching the waves:

My boys:

Kyler eating Spaghetti the other night.

I guess this is him being a Super Hero....maybe "Spaghetti Man" to the rescue!:

Here is a video of Kyler swinging. I'm sorry but once again the video is sideways. I'll have to remember that the next time I take a video from my camera. Anyways, I hope you're still able to enjoy.

BBQ...the Sequel....

Last night Chris cooked some spare ribs. They were yummmmm-ola. Here are some cute pictures of lil man tearin' some more ribs up. Getting him learned early on how to eat them (with your HANDS and "ALL UP ON YOUR FACE" Aunt Sherry,, NOT a knife and fork). HA!

Such a happy boy to be getting some "real people food":

Now THAT is some con-cen-tra-tion on that rib:

The look of death if you even THINK about taking that rib away:

Too stinkin' cute!:

Look at those teefers:

I love this one..hands free; smiling and tearin' up some corn:

Making his funny faces for the camera, but dare not removing that corn:

Oohh to just Kiss that messy face:

Give..It..BAACK!!!:

Saturday Morning

Today was my "short day" at work and I didn't have to be in until 10:30. So we all slept in this morning. Then I got up and fed Kyler his breakfast and decided it was a beautiful morning, so we got changed real quick and took off for a really nice long bike ride. We had to stop once because Kyler's hat blew off and he was NOT happy that we stopped. He wanted to keep going. ~And yes, we left Daddy in the dust again! I thought with Daddy's long legs, he'd be right on our tail, but nope.

We got to see a bunny when we first took off and we woke up all the dogs in the neighborhood. There was a nice breeze and the sun felt great! I didn't take my camera (understandably so), but it was a really nice ride.

Next week since Daddy is off work and it's my short week (I only work 2 days) we are going to ride from our house down the path of Burnt Store Rd to Pine Island. It's such a pretty area there and I know Kyler will LOVE it.

Today my niece and nephew are fishing at Papa Pat's catfish pond. I hope all turns out well for them and no unexpected swimming has to take place. I'll be thinking of you guys. Have fun and we'll all get together one day and go.

I hope everyone else has a wonderful day as well.

From Squeezy to Chomper

For those of you who knew, Kyler's nick name was Squeezy Squeezy (ok really it still is) just because he's so cuddly you want to squeeze him. He started learning to give kisses tonight and I was so excited. So I asked Chris to grab the camera.

Kyler giving Mommy kisses:

This above picture is actually blurry because as I was getting like the 10th kiss of the night he decided to BITE me! Yes, bite and boy did he draw blood. I can't get a picture to show exactly what it looks like, but the top lip is swollen. Yes, I cried and maybe even cried some more when I was brushing my teeth and the toothpaste hit it...ummm OUCH!

This is nothing compared to what it looks (feels) like:

But how can you get mad at this:

~And he got another bite at school~

A Family Visit

I had Wednesday and Thursday off and my aunt flew in from TX, so Kyler and I headed to Gramma's. We surprised Gramma at work by not telling her that we were coming.

Then headed to her house while she wrapped the day up at work and to let Kyler stretch his legs and play some. When Gramma got off work, we met up with my aunt and headed to dinner. After dinner we went bike riding while my aunt ran next to us. We were hot and sweaty and Mom teased that we should go jump in the pool...but after 2nd thought, it sounded fun! Kyler was still up (surprisingly) so we loaded up and went over to Grandma Great's.

Night Time Swimmy:

It's blurry as he was actually kicking his feet and going to the steps here:

Eating his banana:

The next morning, Kyler and Gramma picked Mommy a beautiful rose:

This is what Kyler thinks when he learns he's going swimming:

For once I forgot his hat, so he borrowed Grandma Great's hat:

Swimming with his Grandma Great:

There was even a few really cute ones of Kyler climbing out of the pool. But they weren't that very pleasant of Mommy and I couldn't crop them, so I wont be posting them.
