Tonight we went and got Kyler's 6 month pictures taken. Normally he will smile and giggle Before and After pictures but not during. However tonight, he not only was smiling and having fun, he was doing his own poses AND he sat up on his own. He didn't lean or slip or fall...he actually sat up! I was soo proud and excited!!
Once reviewing the pictures, it was so hard to make a decision on which ones to purchase. But there was one picture in particular that was so Awesome, the manager asked if we would mind signing a waiver so they could use it in their studios, pamphlets, online etc. I was so excited.
Keep your eyes appeared, you never know who (Kyler) you may see when you walk into JCPenney or log onto their website.

What a Weekend!
Friday started off with us having to put down one of our dogs, Sebastian. He was 12 1/2 years old and was suffering from a severe hip dysplasia; a 6 out of 6 graded heart murmur; and a HUGE knot on his foot that constantly bothered him as it was constantly infected and he kept bleeding all over the house and licking it. He was miserable with everything, had a really hard time walking and all, so it was time. He is now running and frolicking with my Millie girl. They are buried right next to each other in a beautiful spot in Arcadia with lots of wildlife to visit them, a beautiful shade and peace and quiet.
Now on to a brighter note; Saturday was a really AWESOME day! We started the day off by going to Myakka State Park to ride our bikes and enjoy a picnic. As we approached the very end where the boat ramp and parking lot is, we were greeted by some really huge gators.
Here are just 3 but there were around 5 or 6 gators:
We made it in, parked and had a really nice picnic. Chris paid a visit to the gift shop to buy Lil Man a hat to keep the sun out of his eyes, then we went on a long bike ride. It was great! I didn't think I was going to make it to the end (which technically was halfway if you include the travel back), but I did!! I pushed myself and really felt great that I accomplished it. We stopped at the Bird Watch Dock and let Kyler have a drink. He was so famished from all that riding and looking at nature on the way to the dock, the he just HAD to eat / drink.
After resting for a bit, we made our way back and I ended up getting a 2nd wind and really took off. The wind was blowing the breeze felt good and it was an all in all beautiful day. When we got back, we stopped for some ice cream for Mom (Gramma) and Daddy and I fed Kyler some peaches and had a soda. Then we loaded up and went back to Gramma's. As we were leaving there were about 5 deer on the side of the road.
On the way home, Kyler got to share Gramma's water....He LOVED it!
We quickly unloaded the car and got ready to go to the local fair. Kyler got to see some pigs, cows, rabbits and some noisy ducks, chickens and roosters. He wasn't sure what to think of them. He LOVED the lights of this one ride and every time we passed it, he stared at it until he was just about bent backwards from looking straight up at it. He got to go on 2 rides, a carousel and a slide. The carousel ride Gramma, Kyler and I rode twice while Daddy took our picture and stayed by the stroller.
As you can tell, I forgot to set the camera for movement. Are you dizzy yet?
Then Gramma took Kyler on his first BIG slide ride. We couldn't tell if he liked it or not. She was smiling, but he made no gesture of like or dislike.
After that we walked back towards to entrance/exit and found a duck pond and Kyler got to pick his first ducky out and won a ball!
We decided that since we weren't going to ride any rides, that we would leave and go get some real food rather than carnival food. So we went to Chili's. Again, after ALL that being carried and pushed in the stroller, got Kyler all famished, so he needed something to drink....and he got Gramma's Tea! HE LOVED IT and even tried reaching for her glass several times to do it himself. Every time she pulled it to her to drink, he watched with hopes that it would come his way.
The next day we were packing up to go home so we could clean out our garage, that for one reason or another doesn't seem to happen. It was so nice out and I wanted to ride our bikes before going home.
We went on a really nice windy ride. We get back and got everything loaded and then went to leave. As we were backing out of the driveway, we all heard this "POP" and realized that it was my back window that had just shattered!!! I freaked out since our son was in the backseat and feared that the glass had shattered all over him. So with the glass shards flying I am not taking any chances and driving the vehicle especially with him in it. We have a call in to our insurance company and are waiting for them to call with a time they are coming out to repair the window.
Our night ended with watching some football with some Brett Favre..AKA Chris' Twin:

Happy 82nd Birthday!
Happy 82nd Birthday to my Grandpa; Kyler's Grandpa "Grape".
Kyler with his Great Grandma and Grandpa:
We went to dinner and took Grandpa to one of his favorite restaurants. We had a nice dinner. Once dinner was done, we went outside and there were some people that had gotten together in a band and were playing / singing. It made my Grandpa dance, smile and clap his hands. It was so good to see him like that and made me very happy!!
We Love You Grandpa.

6 Month Checkup and Off to the Park
On Monday, Kyler had his 6 month check up with the Dr. He had to get 4 shots (including his 1st flu shot) and a "drink". He is still off the charts in height (sorry Daddy, I think he's going to have you beat!) at 28 1/2 in. tall / long. He is also over 75%ile in weight at 18 lbs. 10 oz. The Dr. said he is "still perfect"! We couldn't agree more!
Kyler is now allowed to start drinking tap water from a sippy cup. So this morning he had the hiccups and I gave him water in the sippy cup and he loved it. He even did very well holding it on his own.
Yesterday after the Dr visit, we headed to see Gramma and his "C" cousins. Grandma and Grandpa "Grape" even came over for lunch and then we all went to the park. It was a beautiful day out and the kids had a ball. Us grown-ups were worn out, more so of Gramma from chasing all 3 Grandkids around.

Ready....Set....Step!
Earlier this week Kyler, Chris and I went to visit my mom. While we stopped by to see her at her work, she took Kyler to go show him to her co-workers. When she came back to her desk, she put him down on the ground standing and held onto his hands. He then took a step forward. I was in awe...as he's not quite 6 months old yet.
Then later that night I did the same thing and he took a few steps towards her. He Loves his Gramma! I'm still in awe. My baby will be an early walker. And why not! He's done everything else so early! ;-D
He would only take one step forward to his daycare provider, but she said she will work on him now that she knows he's wanting to be mobile (more ways than one).
UGH, Am I ready for this?! I'm excited but what happened to my baby?! I think its Karma for many years of me 'yelling' at my sisters-in-law for letting their 'babies' grow up!!
~~I promise to add more pictures soon!!

Mom, baby and Daddy are doing Great! I can't wait to go see them tomorrow. Pictures to soon follow.
I think it's neat that she and son were both born on the '12th'. Different months, but already a special bond.
Misread and Apologies...
Ok so I'm sure you've read the posting below and I have to make a correction. I misread the terms and thought it said that Kyler will need to be 6 months old by the 29th of January. Instead that is when all submissions need to be received by. He needed to be 6 months old by the 5th of January. So unfortunately, Kyler has missed the entry date by just 12 days.
But that's ok, because he is OUR beautiful baby and I am still a very proud mommy! Maybe it's better this way so that he isn't bombarded by all the Fame and Fortune of being sooo Handsome! And I'll just give him all the Glitz and Glory (with help from Daddy and Gramma and all his other loved family and friends)!
And if we decided to enter again, there's always next year. We wish all the entries Good Luck and we'll be looking for 2010's Beauty to appear soon.
