20 Months Old

Ok..so I'm a bad Mommy...I totally didn't post anything on Kyler's 20 Month Birthday...oops. SO.........

~~Happy 20 Months Old Mr. Kyler!

You are such a great Big Boy. I don't think I can get away with calling you my baby anymore....mister I am now wearing some 3T clothes. (ugh) You not only look taller or (older) than you are but you act it too. You are such a happy little guy and we are all so blessed to have you in our lives.

You very seldom cry...mainly if you're over tired. You wake up either talking to yourself or laughing and I LOVE hearing that come across the monitor. You still sleep the whole night unless you're sick, but even then you do pretty good. You sleep in a big boy bed, a Thomas the Train toddler bed. You will NOT get out of it when you're up unless we are standing in your doorway. I keep waiting for the day when I'll hear the pitter patter of your feet running to our room for snuggle time.

Snuggle time is a Must have every morning. I LOVE that and am eating it up now as I know soon enough..you'll want nothing to do with it. It's dark when snuggle time begins and most mornings, Daddy is already at work but you now come in and say "ssssss da-da seeep" .... (shhhh daddy's asleep). It's too cute!

You're starting to talk and use sentences, not just words. Your favorite words are TRUCK, Airplane, BIG MOON or Boon as you also call the moon, stars, flag and if you see any of the above, you look at us and say "did you see it?" Just yesterday you learned a little girls name that you go to daycare with. We were at her birthday party and you kept saying Olivia and did very good with it.

I'm somewhat excited as you are learning when you go potty now. I can be in the middle of changing your diaper, signing Happy Birthday (to Olivia), or just doing normal everyday things and you will get a funny look on your face and say "uh-oh...Poo-poo", even if it's just pee-pee. But I'm excited that you're starting to know when you have to go potty...this means diapers will soon be gone! The part I'm not looking forward to is the potty training and the never ending "uh-ohs" you boys tend to have ;-)

You absolutely LOVE helping cook. We've been trying to find meals that are somewhat easier for you to help with. It's so fun having you with us in the kitchen. You know when it's time to start and you go and get your chair and push it over and if we aren't quick enough, you're trying to climb it. Speaking of climbing...yes onto everything. You're a true boy! You've finally mastered climbing onto our couch. Ours seems to be taller than everyone elses as you've already been all over Gramma's and Great Grandma's and Aunt Sherry and Uncle Kevin's...but ours you've finally accomplished. Kady isn't so happy about that. Now she doesn't have a "safe place" from you except outside.

You also love helping load and unload the dishwasher, doing laundry is another huge favorite. You get your little step stool out and I'll hand you the clothes and you'll drop them in the washer. When it comes time to put the clothes in the dryer, you don't miss a beat being right there getting the clothes. And your favorite part of the washer and dryer and getting the push the buttons. You know exactly which ones to push and in the correct order. Your most favorite part of the laundry...the empty basket! You love riding in it. Even if we aren't doing laundry and there are clothes in it, you empty it out and climb in.....

Vacuuming...another favorite of yours. You do a great job of it too. You could spend hours vacuuming the house...and you go all around to each room. You don't like it when the cord gets too short and you have to stop. I'm taking this all in as when the day comes you realize it's no longer fun but rather a chore, I know I'm going to miss these days.

You love anything and everything to do with outdoors! From watching the "boon", swinging on your swing set, playing in the sandbox, dancing in the rain with Mommy, chasing Kady, riding your bike, tractor or motorcycle. We have a hard time getting you inside a lot of days...even if we've just spent hours on end outside. But I wouldn't trade that time for anything.

You are our little water bug. You could go from just taking a bath and hear one of us taking a shower and you will run in completely clothed and jump right in the shower. If you shower with one of us, you push us out of the water so you can hog it all.

You are our miracle and an absolute true blessing and we Love you SO MUCH. Everyday is a true blessing having you in our lives.
