The Last Few Days of 2009.....

During the last few days of the year, Kyler and I had played with his new toys he got from Christmas; went to the park with a friend and her son and Kyler learned something new.

Playdate at home with Mommy:

Don't tell Gramma we spiked his hair! HaHaHaHa

He "doesn't" like his new toys at all...can't you tell...HaHaHa

Here he is actually making his train make noise:
At the park:

I had a poser for the camera.. he's Awesome!!
He wasn't sure about the swing:

This was a really cool tree to climb:

Look...it's monkeys in the tree.

I Love this pix..just wish Kyler would have been looking at the camera.

He looks bored with the tree business:

Kyler thought: "Ummm hair, will she scream if I pull it?"
Climbing up was fun...climbing down...umm yeah!

We went to lunch afterwards and Ian wanted to feed Kyler
(just as long as Kyler doesn't throw up on him)

Kyler really took to him and was laughing with Ian
and liked him feeding him.

~~~And for my son learning New Tricks!! I don't think I am so ready for these..but I'm also excited!!!!
A Great Time in 2009
Looking back on 2009, I am so very grateful for so many things. The one that hits the highlight is the birth of our long awaited son. After battling through many years of infertility, we finally were blessed with THE most Precious Gift. He is a true blessing and such a happy, healthy baby. We couldn't ask for better.
We are also blessed with:
~Our families
~Our pets
~Our friends
~Our jobs
~Our home
~Working vehicles
~Our happiness
~Our health (which will only get better from here on out)
~Each other
and Most importantly.....Our God for granting us these wonderful things.
We wish each and every one of you a very Safe and Happy New Year!! May 2010 bring your nothing but Grins ;-D
Kyler's 1st Christmas
We started off the morning by sleeping in. Since this will be the last Christmas for quite sometime that we will get to sleep in on Christmas morning. Then we got up and went to Kyler's cousins house and did a little gift exchange with the kids there and got to see all their goodies Santa brought to them.
Afterwards, we headed to Gramma's house to meet up with more cousins and to see what all this Christmas stuff was about. Santa came to Gramma's house and left some pretty good loot for everyone. This Santa person sure knew what everyone wanted and seemed to over fill Gramma's tree. Good thing we didn't need to get to the front door, cause Santa blocked us in. He must have done that on his way out of that door (since Gramma doesn't have a fireplace).
A little blurry, but you can still see the loot piled high and around the corner:
I got a beautiful heart shaped Mother's Ring with Kyler's birth stone (Ruby) in it and a camera!
Chris and I got bicycles from Santa (AKA my mommy)!Now I can get the weight off and Kyler can enjoy the ride outdoors with Mommy and Daddy! Thank you Santa ;-D
Gramma had the BEST Elf EVER helping her pass out everyone's gifts. She was so good, she even had time to tear into her own gifts in between. She even had time to change into her different ballerina dresses. And, bet you can't ride a "roller coaster" AKA scooter AND a bike with heels.
The next day, we hung around the house and went out to Papa Pat's property and rode the Polaris. Now, for some time, we've heard about this wild hog that's mommy got killed when it and its siblings were born and this one particular hog took up with the cows and thought he was a cow. We heard oh how cute he was as a baby and got to hear about him growing up and he was even named, Bacon. But everytime Chris and I went out riding, we NEVER saw this "hog"..so we decided he was a figment of everyone's imagination. However, Kyler's 1st ride out and the first thing we see....Bacon with his cows. We had a really nice time, the weather was cool, Kyler enjoyed everything and was so alert. He even got to go mud bogging and Papa Pat had to tie the winch to a tree to pull us out. We even got close up and personal with some deer.
Back to Normal
Last night, Kyler slept the whole night and yes, in his own room! He did "wine/whimper" once as he got himself in a corner of the crib and was too asleep to find his way out. Then he got up at 4:30 this morning...but that's normal for us on my working days anyways. So we were spot on and back to normal. Up giggling and talking..all the fun stuff he does in the mornings.
He is the only kid at daycare today since Chris and I both had to work. The other kids are all off. Chris is only working half a day, so that's not too bad and besides, Ms. Donna wants to spoil him some....(shhhh don't let that secret out).
I wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas. May your travels lead you safely to your destination and may you have a wonderful time with your family and friends.
None of the Above (below)....
In two previous posts, I couldn't decide if Kyler was having separation anxiety or if his teeth and/or ears were bothering him. Come to find out, it was neither of them.
When I had went in to tend to him the prior two nights, it was extremely quiet in there..with the exception of the Blood Curling Screams. I didn't think about it until late yesterday. Kyler is used to hearing the fans blowing that we have on our night stands. A light bulb went off and I remembered that I had a smaller desk fan in the guest room. So last night, I had placed it in his room and let me tell you that was it!! It was well into the night, almost 2:00am when I woke from a dead sleep thinking Oh No, I was so tired, I didn't hear him cry. Then I realized, he hadn't cried and had been sleeping! He did get up at 4 different times from there, but for the first night of "sleeping" in his own room, I thought that was pretty good!
Every time we went in to tend to him crying, he still was somewhat asleep-eyes were closed, so we just rolled him to his side or back, put the NUK in, pulled the covers up and he was back out. Just that simple.
I have a feeling now that I've developed the "noise issue" that it will get better from here on out!
Our 1st Christmas Gift
Well truthfully Kyler is our Very 1st Christmas Gift and gift for every other holiday. But today Chris and I received our very 1st Christmas gift from Kyler.
I went in to daycare to pick him up and in his basket were two gifts. One from his daycare provider for us, some yummy homemade Carmel Popcorn and the other from Kyler. I so badly wanted to open them then and there, but since Chris wasn't with me, I had to wait until we were together.
I let Chris open it up when he got home from work and inside was this:
I thought it was so sweet of Ms. Donna and Kyler to do this for us. It is something that will be cherished forever. We will be getting a plate stand so we can display it all the time.
Separation Anxiety or Teething with an Ear Infection?..That is the question!
Now that Kyler has finally gotten over his acid reflux and isn't choking during the middle of the night, we have decided that it is time to move him into his room.
The first night, he woke up immediately screaming. After calming him down and rocking him back to sleep, I put him in the crib again. After up and down 4 times throughout the night, I finally gave in and put him in the Co-Sleeper that's in our room. Out like a light the rest of the night and he even slept in.
So last night I gave him some Tylenol thinking that maybe his teeth are bothering him since he was digging at his mouth (yes he's teething), and thought this will help him sleep too. From 8:30 until 10:00, we were Golden. Just as I crawled into bed and got ever so perfect in the covers...BLOOD.... CURLING.... SCREAM! Now not to brag, but just to remind you, he sleeps the whole night (in our room) from when he goes to sleep around 7-8:30pm till I wake him up on the mornings I have to work or until about 8:00am on days I am off. So to hear him with these screams its very alarming. After doing this song and dance for about half the night, I decide I'm tired and want some sleep. So again, he wins and gets put back in the Co-Sleeper in our room and out like a light...back to waking up giggling in the morning.
So here are some questions I have....please Help! ;-D
Am I wrong for giving in? Is he having Separation Anxiety or are his teeth bothering him? How do I know if he has an ear infection or if it's just from him teething..yes he's pulling at his ears a little? Do I let him just scream it out and if so, how long do I let him do this for? Do I move the Co-Sleeper into his room and once he's use to being in there, try the crib again?
