Chris and I have been down in the dumps lately since he has lost his job and he currently hasn't found any work. Yes, he is looking and applying. So today, I decided we needed a little something to pull us out of the funk, so Chris got down our Christmas decorations.
We put up the Christmas tree and decked it out with the lights, garland and beads but I refused for any of the ornaments to be put on until Kyler got home to put the first one on.
Our tree before the ornaments:
So we finished the rest of the decorations. I did the inside and Chris decorated the outside.
Holy Snowmen!:
The tree on this table is Chris' favorite tree. My Mom gave it to us years ago when we didn't have a Christmas tree and it was just he and I. He loves it because you just pull it out of the box and plug it in..haha. It's really pretty decorated:
Our kitchen table:
Our reading nightstand..we have Christmas books out now next to my recliner so I can read them to him while rocking him to sleep every night:
Kyler's very own Christmas Tree in his bedroom. The "K", I bought before I was pregnant with him and I thought it was perfect to go on his tree as it has red rhinestones which Ruby is his birthstone..how perfect!:
Hahaha, look at the dirty look I'm getting. The lawn decorations were giving him a hard time...so he came inside to put them together so he could sit comfortably:
Daddy putting the decorations up outside:
Our door wreath:
~~yes, in case you haven't figured it out by now...I LOVE Snowmen decorations! HA!
Daddy and Mommy's stockings:
THEN <<<< I went and picked up Kyler from daycare. As soon as we pulled in the drive (and grant you it was still light out)..he was ALL into the lawn decorations and was "ooohhhing" the second he saw them. << until he saw the inside of the house >>
Kyler checking out the decorations, taking it all in...the snowman overload:
He was sooo excited! (and I LOVED watching his reactions- it sure did lift my spirits)
Checking out the tree in his room:
He was sooo excited with the big tree and kept pointing and saying "ooohhhh":
Daddy and Kyler hanging the very first ornament which was Kyler's "Baby's 1st Christmas Teddy Bear" from last year:
Kyler getting into the Christmas spirit by eating his very 1st candy cane:
A candy cane stuffed face, hanging some ornaments on the tree:
Going back and getting more...don't fret, he was only allowed to get the plastic or stuffed ornaments and those are all hung on the bottom half of the tree. Mommy did the top half with the glass / breakable ones:
The picture table at our front door (minus a few pictures for decorations):
Kyler checking out Mr. and Mrs. Snowman because they dance:
The lawn decorations..yes, I know, kind of bunched together, but we are short on outlets and extension cords. So together better than none at all:
Kyler checking out the decorations. There's a snowman, a buck, a doe, 3 trees (a Daddy tree, a Mommy tree and a Kyler tree) and then a bunch of waving snowmen:
It's actually not that bad. Looks cute like a family of critters together:
Kyler looking for the moon, he Loves looking at the moon, but we couldn't find it tonight. He was seeing a star that he was pointing at:
My waving snowman..they are so cute! Their little hands blink:
Kyler giving Daddy kisses, Thanking him for the lawn decorations:
Giving Great Big Bear Hugs:
Daddy rocking Kyler to "sleep"..umm yeah right, not with that tree lit up!:
Daddy and Kyler really engrossed in Dr. Suess, the Grinch:
~~And the finale of our Christmas Tree~~:
Our star blinks between blue and green. Look at my tree skirt, its a snowman ~ go figure!:
We hope you all have fun decorating your house too!
